Veterinary
Our on-site veterinary specialist will talk you through your options and each procedure as they happen. Our vet consultations are required prior to any acupuncture or massage being booked; but may be booked together and our vet will prioritise your horse's physical exam.

CONSULTATION & Health exam$200
An in-depth consultation with our veterinary specialist, providing an overall physical health check for your horse. Includes deworming, coggins testing, teeth floating and any vaccinations. Bloods and x-rays incur an additional charge. |
ACUPUNTURE$150
Competition horses taking part in a wide range of disciplines are prone to developing minor injuries that often go unnoticed. Eventually these build up and cause the horse to compensate by altering its way of moving and this makes it susceptible to more serious injury. Acupuncture for horses can be a huge benefit to providing treatment to their underlying issue. |
MASSAGE$100
Equine massage loosens scar tissue gradually, helping the horse move more freely and reducing the associated pain. Massage and stretching can help restore a horse's mobility after an injury by reducing tension as collagen fibres heal and realign themselves post trauma. |
Farrier
Equine hoof science is evolving, like so many other aspects of horses and the care of them. Paving the way with gentle and natural training techniques which are now commonplace, hoof science is also improving to help owners choose between shod, barefoot or newer methods of protecting hooves. At Au Naturel we do things different. Gone are the days of traditional, harsh shoeing. No hammers, anvils or hot fires.

BAREFOOT TRIM$100
The majority of horses can go about their daily lives - and even compete - without horseshoes. Going barefoot tends to be easier on joints, offers better circulation in the hoof/leg and good traction. It also means never having to worry about pulling a shoe on course. |
HOOF BOOTS$150
Think sport shoes. Made of durable synthetic material. Hoof Boots are great if you are transitioning to barefoot. They are also useful for long rides (including endurance racing), as well for therapeutic reasons, such as a foundered or sore-footed horse. Includes hoof exam & trim. |
flexGLUe SHOES$250
These, unlike metal shoes, can expand and contract with the horses foot, enabling the hoof to function more naturally. This non-restrictive glue-on shoe allows it to mimic each individual horse's pattern of movement - providing the essential attributes of support, traction and shock absorption. Includes hoof exam & trim. |
